NAB Connect First-Time Login: What New Users Should Expect

First-time access is an onboarding process, not a reason to hand information to an independent website. New users should work from NAB-issued activation material and, where relevant, instructions from their organisation’s authorised administrator.

NabConn never asks for NAB Connect credentials

Use an official NAB-operated service for account authentication. Do not send NabConn your NAB Connect User ID, password, PIN, token code, one-time passcode, full card details or online-banking credentials.

Analysis

Before the First Login

Confirm that you have been legitimately added to the organisation’s NAB Connect setup and that activation material arrived through expected channels.

If the business uses a mobile token, NAB’s current activation guide describes an activation email, SMS activation code and creation of a four-digit PIN in the app.

Analysis

Understand Your Role

A viewer, payment creator, Authorising User and Administrator do not need identical permissions. The organisation should assign access according to the job being performed.

Analysis

Security After Activation

Do not share the new password, PIN or generated codes. If a colleague needs access, the correct solution is their own authorised user profile rather than shared credentials.
